Is running a football coaching franchise the right path for you?
That depends. Are you:
Then, the chances are, children’s football coaching could be the perfect career for you!
However, even if the above applies, you may still be wondering if running your own kids’ football coaching business is right for you. We’re here to help you make that decision and address any concerns you may have. Here are some of the more common ones:
Ideally, we need our franchisees to have some football coaching experience at the grassroots level. If you do not yet have any experience, see if there are teams or academies in your area where you could volunteer.
Experience working with children is obviously desirable, but not essential. What we’re really looking for is passion, dedication and enthusiasm. We also need commitment – running a franchise requires investing your time. And, in order to work with children, you’ll of course need to undergo a DBS check.
If you have coaching experience, but no qualifications, don’t worry. You can get started with the FA’s BT Playmaker course, which is a free online course designed to give aspiring coaches the basic skills they need to connect with players and design fun training sessions. After that, you will need to do the FA’s Introduction to Coaching Football qualification. As a franchisee, We Make Footballers can support you through obtaining this.
Running a business can be daunting, and obviously carries some risk, but as a franchisee with We Make Footballers, you will not only benefit from a trusted brand, but also all the training and support we offer. Not just as a coach, but as a business owner. We’ll help you with all aspects of running a business, from setting up a website, to using the booking software, to marketing and promotion. You can talk to other franchise owners, and our friendly team are always just a phone call away.
We appreciate that our coaches will often have other commitments, whether they be work-related or personal. This is why running a coaching franchise could be perfect for you. While we do expect a certain level of commitment from our franchisees (usually 20 hours a week minimum is needed), you can run your business flexibly around your family or other work commitments.
Of course, if you have other concerns or questions, our team will be happy to help. Book in a call with our franchise team, or drop us an email.
