What's included in your franchise fee

Your franchise fee covers the initial training you receive as a new franchise owner. We built our training syllabus using principles from the FA and techniques learned from some of the world's top football clubs, and you'll learn to deliver coaching sessions that put them into practice. Where in-person training takes place depends on your country.

Training

We Make Footballers franchisee training programme

As a new franchise owner, you'll complete in-person training with our team, followed by around 20 hours of remote training to get you up to speed. We'll confirm where and when your in-person training happens for your country.

Day 1

The first day of our training programme centres on our company values, ethos and coaching philosophy. It's a chance to get to know the team and connect with fellow franchise owners. We work at a comfortable pace - we don't believe in rushing, and we want you to get the most out of the experience.

Day 2

On day 2, you’ll move onto learning about how to deliver coaching sessions, safeguarding children and how to recruit and manage your coaching staff. You’ll also learn sales and marketing techniques to enable you to promote your new business within your community and attract new talent. Where available, each day will be fully catered with breakfast, lunch, snacks, tea and coffees throughout the day.

Day 3

This session addresses any topics that could not be covered during the initial two days of training, typically focused on the booking software and finance-related training. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to ask any questions you may have.

Introduction to Coaching Football

This new online course serves as the foundational element of the FA’s coaching pathway, replacing the now-discontinued FA Level 1 in Coaching Football qualification. The Introduction to Coaching Football course is tailored for individuals seeking to actively contribute to player development and foster a passion for football. The curriculum includes the following topics, culminating in an online assessment:

- Introduction to First Aid
- Introduction to Disability Football
- Safeguarding Children
- Promoting Respect

UEFA C Licence

The UEFA C Licence replaces the outdated FA Level 2 course. It aims to foster a true passion for the game among young athletes. Coaches must complete the Introduction to Coaching Football course, as well as the First Aid in Football and Safeguarding Children courses prior to enrollment. This program integrates both in-person and online learning and encompasses the following components:

  • Understanding players and their game

  • Helping players love and learn football through practice

  • Helping players love and learn football through matchday
